Tracks 2-6 and 8-9 were commissioned with funds generously provided by Polish Charitable Trust, Embassy of the Republic of Poland, Polish Childrens Reunion Committee, and the Polish Association of New Zealand. These compositions were written especially for a concert series commemorating the 65th anniversary of the arrival in New Zealand of the "Pahiatua Children", Polish refugee children, near the end of WWII.
